Arctic Chimo
Years ago, we planted this late summer flower called Arctic Chimo. I loved it the second I saw it, not so much for its look as for its name. Chimo. Our first dog was Chimo. Oh, she was a good dog. A red-headed golden retriever who snuck under fences to play in the park, who stole cabbage rolls off the counter at family get-togethers, who gorged herself on Aunt Marian's wedding chocolate and threw up all over her rug, and who gave us ten tiny puppies that turn fourteen this year. I love this flower. It always reminds me of her.

How sweet. Reading this brought a tear to my eye. From bringing her over when you had "visitation" for a hour [or two] I believe she was only 6 wks. to having those sweet puppies in one of my bedrooms, with the exception of one "mean" one, and yes even the memorable projectile vomiting she will forever live on in our hearts. Miss you Chimo!
Holy Dear Diary moment! I was just going to write about the pretty pink flowers. Oh well. It's nice to know that Chimo and Bailey are together again...and getting into lots of mischief up there, I'm sure. ;o)
Awww...you've made me cry! Dang!
I remember when Chimo was a pup, she went over for a visit to Bailey's, and Bailey was swatting Chimo so hard, Chimo did a few rolls. Chimo had to hide under the couch for a rest :)
Hey Chimo! GLYCERINE!
'scuse me while I wipe the big grin off my face. You nut.
Sweet story.
Hey thanks for the tip and link on freezing lemon balm. I'll be thinking of you when I'm sipping tea this January.
That's great CJ! You made my day.
