There was a surprise waiting on the front porch when I got home today. Enos is something of a woodworker and Paul had asked him awhile back to make a little something for the chicken coop.
There's a fair likeness, don't you think? As an old coworker of mine used to say, who has more fun than people?

Well that's just plain lovely, isn't it?!
Pearl
That's hilarious.
Coop.
This has your Dad written all over it.
Dang genes.
Hi Pearl. I love it. One night we also came up with some names - Hen Dryden, Ray Bawk, and Wayne Greggzky. We don't get out much.
Stanley Coop. I know - it is funny. The boys even kiss the Stanley Coop Cup when they go by. (According to Cameron, that's the law with that other Cup.) Speaking of genes, I was wishing I wore some when I went to pick Ri up tonight. It's really cooled off.
Oh, that is tooooo funny! Only in Canada... :)
That's too funny! I like that! I never even thought of naming my hen house. I don't leave the farm a whole lot. I will have to plant that seed with my son. He has the funny bone around here.
Stanely coop--love it!
Inspired!
Philip tried to persuade me to buy a sign to hang above the cat's chair (yes he does have his own chair)but as it referred to his slightly limited intelligence (- the cat that is), I resisted. I now might spend all day trying to think up an alternative sign based on my own favourite sport - formula one....
:-)
Yep, Lord Stanley's Coop - it's got quite a ring to it. And it's so Canadian. Hee hee.
Cheryl - I saw on a website somewhere that a couple had used an old pickup and built a coop in the bed of the truck. They called it the Chevy Coupe. That was a good one too.
Hi Sharon - I looked up formula 1 terms but nothing obvious comes to mind. Glad you clarified your reference to 'slightly limited intelligence'; wasn't sure you were referring to the cat. ;-)
Ha ha...looks just perfect for your family's chicken house. Very creative.
A little wacky, kinda funny and will likely cause people to roll their eyes. It does seem about right, doesn't it?
