Back to Work

Paul called me at work this morning with some good news. He'd just got off the phone with someone letting him know that he's back to work as of Monday. I could feel a bit of that weight fall off my shoulders. It's been an awfully long year with lots of downtime, uncertainty and no work since the truck plant closed in May. On Monday he'll be reporting to the Camaro plant where there's only one shift running; for now he'll be working steady days. Wow. A little more of that weight fell - steady days means a little less juggling, although I wasn't about to complain. And despite tough times, the Camaro is selling. Believe it or not, they're even scheduling overtime. I think we'll be tucking any extra money under the mattress...for future rainy days.

I'll leave the weeding tools where you can easily find them...if you look.

Unfortunately, my gardening Birks fell victim to the breaking of the water bottle in the trunk of my car.

It may take weeks, nay, MONTHS before my Birks dry out.

I'll leave my old ones out. Being the wider size, they'll fit you better anyway.

So much for being a house husband.

Hi Margaret and Mark! It is great news. There's been just a few too many bad announcements this year so hopefully things are looking up. My fingers are crossed, anyway.

Hey Anonymous. Paul's happy to go back to work for a break. My honey-do lists were getting a little long, I guess. ;o)
