All Bases Covered
Paul, who sometimes has horseshoes up his arse, got talking to a woman at work awhile back and found out that her family has had seasons tickets to the Leafs for about forty years. Can you imagine? Forty years. The last time the Leafs won the Cup was 44 years ago and there's not gonna be a parade down Yonge Street this year, either. Why, I think I'd be asking for my money back. Umm, what was I talking about? Right. Paul's arse. Well, you see, it turns out that she had a couple tickets available for yesterday's game. And who would the Leafs be playing? The Boston Bruins. Paul was all over those tickets. And guess who Paul took. Well, since Cammy got to go to a game in early January courtesy of my work (that was against the Bruins, too. See? - horseshoes), last night Nolan got to go to his first ever National Hockey League game. He was awfully excited. And just to make sure he had all his bases covered, he wore a Bruins shirt and toque (which in some parts of England, is called a dut) and a Maple Leafs jacket, kindly donated to him by Aunt Marian. (Let's face it, nobody else would take it.) And the Leafs actually won, 5 to 2! Wonder where he lost those horseshoes.

Loving your command of the English language!
"Horseshoes up his arse".
Can honestly say I've never heard that one before.
I'll have to use it.
After bogging us about 3 kilometres from the nearest shed yesterday, my husband nearly had something up his too!
Hee hee. I'd be awfully proud to think that I had something to do with a new phrase being used Down Under.
Hehehe...horseshoes...arse...apparently he scored tickets to a NASCAR race, I hear.
Ya,I'm so lucky.

Sittin' in a Tree...
Awww. Pretty Boy.
You need to be careful. The Father took me to see his beloved Arsenal play Tottenham when I was a lad, and I ended up a lifelong Tottenham supporter!
It was a little scary this week when Nolan told me that he was now a Toronto fan. Good lord. I think I've brought him back around now though and he's cheering for the good guys in Calgary. I'll be sure to keep an eye on him.
