Pink!

Everywhere you look, there's pink! On George Street. At Del Crary park. On buses. At the mall. And, of course, at the wharf on Little Lake.

Practices started yesterday morning in the cold and rain. Brrr it was chilly. (Yes, that's right. Just two weeks ago I was complaining about how hot it was.) I wished I'd had mitts with me yesterday. Wearing shorts probably wasn't the brightest move. Today, however, was better. Not as cold and the rain held off just about 'til lunch. By the time practices started up again at 2, the sun was out and it was warming up. The last of the practices run tomorrow until 1. Then I'll put in a bit of time in town, pick up the boys after school (Ri's in Ottawa on an overnight class trip!), and we'll watch the parade of nations down George Street.

Lining up and heading out - teams from
Qu
ébec, Kenora, Vancouver Island, UK and Australia
