I'm happy to say, though, that I managed to put up a half bushel of dill pickles (pictured with the bread and butter pickles),

all six baskets of peaches (haven't figured out how to stop them from floating, though)

and turned about 2/3 of a bushel of tomatoes into canned crushed tomatoes. I'm not too proud to admit that the tomatoes almost got the better of me and I was reminded fairly quickly why it had been eleven years since my last encounter with them. My neighbour Darlene had taken me under her wing all those years ago and that's when I first learned a bit about canning - making applesauce, a couple of jars of tomato sauce and some ketchup. I can see it being another eleven years.
